Saltwater Coast Land Estate in Melbourne’s Point Cook is the first residential development in the West to achieve the EnviroDevelopment certification. Senior Development Manager Nathan Jenkinson from FKP being the developer of Saltwater Coast was recently presented with the certification at a luncheon to celebrate.
Nathan stated “In each of our developments, FKP recognises the critical importance of both protecting the local environment and establishing a sense of community. Neighbouring the Port Phillip Bay and Bellarine Peninsula Ramsar site, Saltwater Coast is a very special project for FKP and this has been reflected in our careful planning for the development”.
Lyndsay Neilson, the EnviroDevelopment Victorian Chairman stated at the presentation luncheon that the EnviroDevelopment certification recognises Saltwater Coast’s exceptional environmental credentials in four of the six “leaf” elements, these being energy, water, ecosystems and community.
From a home buyers perspective, the EnviroDevelopment technical standard is designed to make it easier for home and land buyers to select more sustainable homes and within environments that offer a greater level of lifestyle benefits.
Saltwater Coast being a master planned community is only about 20 kilometres from Melbourne’s CBD. It’s enviable location provides terrific views of Melbourne’s city skyline and Port Phillip Bay and recreation is at its heart. Residents enjoy nature trails, boardwalks ensuring there is plenty or reason and places to exercise and meet local residents.
